Open House New York 2023 is an annual weekend-long, free event during which historic buildings, architectural masterpieces, sundry landmarks and the best New York attractions welcome the public to nose around. The network was founded and is administered by Open City, a charity registered in the United Kingdom. The aim of our work is to ensure every New Yorker can enjoy full access to the greatest city in the world. Launched in 2003, Open House New York Weekend is an annual festival that opens hundreds of noteworthy or significant places across the five boroughs to foster discovery and delight for New Yorkers and visitors alike. This is the third Law Enforcement Roundtable Tenney has hosted this year, emphasizing her commitment to the law enforcement officers in our community.

Also new this year is OHNY’s weekend hub at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where there will be food trucks, pop-up eateries, tours, demos, and more. Here are our picks for the best open access sites during OHNY weekend 2021. Since the inaugural year, the event has grown exponentially, increasing its outreach and audience participation; the number of sites, talks, and tours; and developing additional thematic and interpretive programming. OHNY Weekend now includes more than 300 participating sites and offering 1,300 tours with an estimated 20,000 visitors and more than 1,000 registered volunteers. A ticket system is used for Weekend programs that have significant security or capacity constraints that make first-come, first-serve entry infeasible.

For the second year, the festival will be 100 percent free to attend. For tours with limited capacity, tickets will be distributed through a lottery system. You can enter the lottery for an unlimited number of ticketed events for multiple time slots, but only one entry per time slot is allowed.
